Synthetic Cannabis is now Testable

Synthetic cannabis, a smokable herb, is currently being sold in retail outlets, from tobacconists to key cutters, across Australia under a variety of names including: Kronic Tropical Explosion, Kronic Pineapple Express, Hammered, Ash Inferno and Northern.

The product contains synthetic cannabinoids adapted from pharmaceutical research. According to Drug Test Australia "when smoked it mimics cannabis like effects euphoria, relaxation and sedation however it also includes paranoia, palpitations, hallucinations, nausea and vomiting in many users"

Up until now, traditional drug tests have NOT been able to detect Synthetic Cannabis; therefore there has been a growing use of the drug in the workplace. Drug Test Australia, a leading drug tester in the mining industry, can now test Synthetic Cannabis.
